"They will ride as they handle on the ground." This was spoken to Alison by one of her mentors and she has not found a horse that has proven the thought wrong. How very important ground work is, not just for confidence and respect, but also for proper balance and movement. Come join this small group (6 handlers max) in working on relaxation, awareness, confidence, respect, focus, and movement with our horses on the ground. This clinic series is open to horses that have never been ridden, to horses that have been ridden for many years. If you have found a hole with your horse under saddle, it will show in the ground work. It is a series of three classes, roughly an hour and a half long (open to being a bit longer if need be). The classes are staggered to allow time to work at home.....yes, there will be homework. If you are interested, but do not have a horse to use, contact Alison. Please call to register 541-728-7004. Payment for all 3 classes must be made in advance to hold your slot. Non refundable. Cost is $180 for the series. Upcoming Dates: May 22, June 5, June 19, 2022
Weekly horsemanship sessions for those new to equines, or interested in starting again with a different philosophy, perhaps. The first session will be focused on preparatory ground work, with the other 3 sessions being under saddle. The sessions will focus on doing right by the horse, building confidence in both horse and rider, and working with the art of doing less to gain more in our results. The goal in these sessions is to provide a base for a great foundation for the rider (and horse) to allow a positive journey to continue. This is not discipline specific, but hopefully will set a tone for your continued endeavors. Possible lesson horses if you are in need. This will be an intimate setting to provide much one on one. Max 5 riders. $300/4 weekly (2 hour) sessions. 2022 dates TBD. Non-refundable deposit must be received to hold your spot.
